My friend showed me a picture of her kissing another girl
the other day. Other people who saw it too were mostly like, “Oh, you kissed a
girl.”
That’s it.
Oh, just so you know, my friend isn’t gay. In fact she’s in
a steady relationship with a very nice boyfriend. In fact she was with him when
the event occurred, so there’s nothing wrong with that.
I actually have absolutely no problem with her actions
whatsoever, but I was puzzled by another matter. So am gonna ask you guys a
question that’s been lingering in my mind for years now.
Why is it that when a girl kiss a girl it’s not really a big
deal, but when a boy kiss a boy then its absurd, disgusting and gayish?
Please let me know what you think.

well kissing is still akward for me but shaking hands girl on girl is no problem for me.. well coz what i find out nowadays is.. girl is easily get herself in to lesbian instead of guy get him turn into gay..gak nyambung kali ya.. tapi mungkin ada yang salah dengan kultur indo kali ye.. dimulai dari film barat made that shake hand between girl still find hehehe.. kissing ? some times turn me on in a porn movie hahahahaha kidding

well.. i guess it’s bcoz basicly girls are emotional people,normally they always express their feeling too over.. sometimes they shout when they surprice, they need a hug or cryin when they sad, they kiss sumthin when they like it.. just like they kiss their girl friend just like “umwach umwach”.. it’s normal. girls are very emotional even they’re not. it’s natural.
But when guys do what girls do.. it is so very awkward, disgusting, and gayish laaahhhh… guys are normally not emotional people, they’re not doing such a girly attitude, becuz guy naturally have to be strong n unemotional.
And when guys are emotional…….then of course they have opportunity to be The Girls Version of Guys (GAY)

Hm.. i guess that depends on the people and their culture.
Maybe people are see to the icon people out there. That’s ever happen between the famous artis, Madonna and Britney. So many people all around the world have seen it and know or even accept the excuse that a kiss between girls are not always mean they’re lesbian or somthing.
But have you seen famous guys kissing each other with that interpretation??
Yeah likely.. im agree with Miar’s opinion.
“Guys are strong and not emotional” and if they’re have to do that action in front of the people, they should mean of something really matters not just for a girly excuse like “honour”, that what madonna do to Britney..yeaks..

menurutku..kalo cewek ciuman, pegangan tangan, pelukan di depan umum itu sih biasa, dipandangan orang dah normal2ae, paling pikirane orang cuma wah orang ini konco plekkk sorooo…. soale stereotype (ciehh..aku ingat salah satu mata kuliah DKV nih..=)) yg dibangun di masyarakat umum yg menyebabkan kita berpikir “hal” itu bukan lesbi. sedangkan kalo kaum adam yg ngelakuno itu pasti pikiran kita mau ngga mau langsung mikir wah cowok ini GAY sorooo!!!!
sama hal nya ama kenapa cewek ngga boleh bertelanjang dada di depan umum (harus pake BH)sedangkan cowok boleh??? sama aja kan?? soale masyarakat (dari jaman baheula) menanamkan nilai2 itu turun temurun yg walaupun sebenere kadang2 ada yg nyeleneh.
tapi mau ngga mau kita hidup berdampingan dengan nilai2 itu. (dan sedikit banyak mempengaruhi cara berpkir kita juga)

to miar : i agree that guys from early age are teached to be less emotional than girls. that may be the reason why they are rarely express their feelings in verbal way or gestures. good point dul.
to henny : my point exactly. why is it when madonna and britney kissed its sexy but imagine if michael jackson and justin timberlake kissed? wouldn’t that be unspeakably weird?

Even we guys have our own emotion too ya know, and in other place in earth there were a tradition to kiss each other when meet, and that already began for centuries … in Kuwait for example, Lagian klo ciuman bibir yang “just kiss” ama yang “pasionate kiss” pasti keliatan banged dong, ya engga? klo cowo cium cowo in public? kayanya engga bakal elo nemuin di Indonesia, bahkan yang bener2 gay sekalipun … mereka masih punya malu, lagian klo yang engga gay pastinya takud disangka gay … jadinya entar ga laku

mungkin kalo cowok lebih banyak pake rasio ya…lha rasio itu kan berkaitan langsung ama nilai2x yg ada di lingkungannya…kita berpikiran kalo ada cowok yg ciuman “ah…pasti tuh dia gay”
lha mungkin kalo cewek lebih banyak pake perasaannya….biasane perasaan itu selalu ngomong jujur akan sesuatu…walaupun di lingkungan kita sesuatu itu dianggap salah atau keliru
